There are a variety of ways for individuals, small businesses, and corporations to support Eisenhower Dance Detroit, all critical to the company’s success. From the studio to the stage, EDD’s accomplishments would not be possible without the support of our patrons and friends. Your financial investment and/or gift of volunteer time allow us to build on our reputation as the region’s premier contemporary dance company. EISENHOWER DANCE DETROIT SEASON SPONSOR: $10,000 and up

Corporations, foundations, and private individuals providing contributions to EDD in this giving range will have a major presence in every correspondence with patrons, on all print and digital marketing and promotional pieces including social media, and at every EDD event.  This sponsorship includes a customizable sponsorship package created especially for this giving level including tickets to each performance with preferential seating, invitations to pre- and post-performance receptions, and our annual Gala.  Other benefits:

METRO SERIES PERFORMANCE SPONSORS

METRO SERIES PERFORMANCE GOLD SPONSOR: $5,000

EDD concert sponsors provide a means for the company to share the art of contemporary dance throughout locations in metropolitan Detroit.  These locations have included the Seligman Center for the Performing Arts, the Berman Performing Arts Center, Oakland University’s Varner Recital Hall, the Detroit Opera House, and many others.  Beginning in 2025, EDD will perform annually as a community partner at the new Schaap Center for the Performing Arts in Grosse Pointe. Sponsors receive:

COMMISSION A NEW WORK: $5,000

As a repertory ensemble, EDD brings in choreographers from across the country to set their work on the company.  Commissioning a new work provides the company with the means to broaden its artistic range and present work by a variety of voices.  Sponsors receive:

  • Listing in digital program notes as commissioning sponsor for all performances of the work.

  • Onstage announcement as commissioning sponsor at each performance of the work.

  • 10 tickets in priority seating at the local premiere of the new work

  • 10 tickets to Afterglow celebration

  • Private chat with the Artistic Director about the creative process involved in developing the new dance

  • Souvenir Eisenhower Dance Detroit coffee table book

DANCER SPONSOR: $2,000

DanceMovers provide resources for special projects ranging from EDD’s artist-in-the-schools programs, artistic collaborations, original costume and set designs, and photo shoots among others.  Donors receive:

  • Invitation to annual Meet the Dancers Event to kick-off the season

  • 4 complimentary tickets with special reserved seating to Metro series concerts

HALSTED CHOREOGRAPHY FUND

In memory of Carol Halsted, founding Board president for Eisenhower Dance Detroit, former Chair of the Music, Theatre, and Dance Department at Oakland University, dancer, and long-time advocate for dance and dance education, this fund will continue Carol’s unwavering support for the artform she loved.  As a donor, you become part of building Eisenhower Dance Detroit’s repertory through the acquisition of new choreography. Donors receive:

  • Listing in digital program

  • 2 complimentary tickets (special reserved seating) to the local premiere of new work (with minimum donation of $100)

  • Invitation to Open Rehearsal at the Maggie Allesee Studios for Dance and Arts Innovation

  • Private chat with the Artistic Director for Halsted Fund donors prior to the local premiere of the new work.

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT

  • The EDD Youth Ensemble pre-professional program at the School of EDD seeks to provide an enhanced experience for students interested in preparing for a dance career or simply to take their training to the next level. Grounded in the fundamentals of the Eisenhower pedagogy, EDDYE offers expanded opportunities for students to train more rigorously, engage with guest artists, learn from visiting choreographers, and perform more frequently.

  • The School of Eisenhower Dance Detroit at the Maggie Allesee Studios for Dance & Arts Innovation provides classes to more than 200 students and serves as a base for the company’s community outreach and education programs. Your sponsorship dollars can make a lasting difference!
